Today was class #188 -- #49 without water -- 7 in a 7 days
I love having time off of work. I get to drive my normal drive as if I'm going to work, at the exact same time (8:38ish), but I get to turn early and head to Bikram, arriving promptly at 8:45am. The mornings are hard, they always have been, always will. My body is always stiff, but over the last week I've managed to get past that. Two days ago I practiced beside the director who is also 1 of 2 teachers at our quaint studio. It's funny to see teachers practice, because if anyone else had been as distracted as him, he would have given them a piece of his mind! It didn't bother me though, just an observation. Anyway, after class he said, "good job not drinking water." I laughed and said, "thanks, I've been doing that for months now!" It's funny how he notices so much, but missed my lack of water. I guess to his credit, I do bring a bottle in the room, I just never touch it. I have been water free since October 2nd, and by now it's really not such a biggie.
At this morning's class there were A LOT of people, I'm talking 25 people in our small room. There were so many {so many more than any of us were accustomed to}, that we had to make 3 rows instead of the typical roomy 2 rows. It was the only class offered today, so I was prepared for a lot of people, but certainly not that many. I was in my left side front corner, beside another woman named Lisa (we have the same last initial too -- it gets confusing). We were all comfy and snug, and surprisingly I didn't mind at all [I like my space]. It was HOT, and not nearly as 'easy-breezy' as the last few days [mind you, class is NEVER easy]. The heat I attributed to all the people. The teacher who taught tends to run a little over -- I've come to terms with that. We finished a few minutes late -- no surprise. I actually wanted my water at the end, but I abstained until I left the room. It was good to be challenged and feel the heat. One more class tomorrow [we'll see if it's as busy], then a day off for Christmas. Then, back at it again until I get my butt back to real life AKA work on the 6th. I better make good use of the next 2 weeks.
I hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas [or whatever else you may celebrate].
