October is in the air

The weather has begun to mimic Fall, finally! It's getting a little chillier, and it is even suppose to rain for half of next week.

This weekend was perfect for movies [Everything Must Go & Exporting Raymond], candles [vanilla, apple cinnamon & baked cookie], Bikram [Saturday & Sunday 9am], crafts [coasters galore], cleaning [house, hamster cage], tea [vanilla chai, black tea, GT's Cherry & Raspberry chai]... and a war on an army [or 1 or... 3] of ants [kitchen, garage, bathroom, back porch, fence]. All of which was great, except the ant situation. They seriously took over my kitchen all weekend. Bummer; just hoping they will start going away [but now with the rain coming, ha -- ya right].
coasters....
and more coasters

I didn't drink any water this morning in yoga. When I got in the room it was a very cool 84 degrees -- it took awhile to heat up, but by the end of class it was 104. That's probably how I went without water, it just wasn't that hot. Good class, not as focused as I would have liked though. My studio may start offering a 6am class 1 day a week. I am very interested!

Last weekend I bought a pair of Vibram Five Finger shoes. They are suppose to mimic being barefoot, and I've always been interested in trying them. Well, I wore them for 4 days at work, 9 hours straight and I love them! They are a little funny looking, but I prefer them over my sandals for sure, and they support my feet much better.

I'm so happy Fall is in full swing. It's hard to believe it is already October. I'm going with it, and trying to savor the simple moments as much as I can...

Namaste
