I started this blog in 2011 -- 4 years ago when I first started my Bikram Yoga practice. I updated daily throughout the summer that first year, but ever since it has been very sporadic -- it has been a year since my last post. I always start writing again, with the intention of being reflective and more mindful.
After this week, I will be done working full-time until August -- the 8 week break has finally arrived! I will be teaching yoga, probably 5 classes a week. I have made to-do lists and have started to create goals for this summer. This is much like the past summers, big plans and goals.
I have today off because of Memorial Day. I took the liberty of sleeping in until 8:30am and it was glorious. I then went to lovely Bidwell Park, where I ran/walked the 6 mile loop. It was lovely! I may end up doing the 60-minute Bikram class tonight at 5:30pm, depending on how my day goes.
Among the things I want to accomplish this summer are:
- Reorganizing and tidying up our house
- Exercising daily: yoga, kettlebells, running, biking
- Prepping vegan food and trying new recipes
- Creating a healthy routine: oil pulling, meditating, skin brushing...
- Reading
I got married September 27th, 2014. It was a beautiful day -- went just as planned. Now am I married to my husband and best friend.
We went to Cancun for our honeymoon in December/January. It was amazing and I am dying to go back!
We adopted a puppy in March -- her name is Monroe but we call her Monkey, Mo-Mo. She and our other dog Roxie love each other so much.

Second, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Very happy for you!
Third: what are your views on the 60-minute class? Our studio will not offer and it seems some people are coming to our studio bc they don't want a 60 minute class.
