Today was my 50th class of my 60 day challenge.
I guess I counted wrong, because originally I thought yesterday was my 50th class. It was a full class today, probably about 20 people were there which is big for our small studio. I’ve still been setting my intention daily to keep my body calm so my mind will follow, and really concentrate on breathing. It got hot today with all of the people in the room, and my mom {who was beside me} actually ran out of water, and we had to share mine at the end. She doesn’t handle the heat well at all, so she has to continually hydrate during class. Unfortunately for her, her two frozen water bottles were down to just big hunks of ice by the end of the class.
I have 10 more classes and 7 days to fit them in. That means doubling up tomorrow, Tuesday and Thursday. Then, come next Sunday, I will be Bikram-less for at least 7 days. That seems a little overwhelming to me right now, it’s going to be hard without my daily practice. After my trip, I will be down to probably 4 classes a week max –it is definitely going to be hard to change my routine. I am however, appreciative that I’ve had the last two months to be off work, and to have been able to concentrate on myself and challenge myself with goals, especially in my practice. I hope that it will help me in my job this coming year, especially in terms of patience, and doing what I can to do my best despite the outside distractions and circumstances.
