60 classes during my summer break = DONE

I did it; 60 classes in 57 days. I got congratulated by both of my teachers today; it was a good ending to my Bikram run. I just wish I could keep going, and going... but I am looking forward to a break. I ended up doing 10 classes between Sunday and today, and my body has definitely felt it. That plus 3 kettlebell classes has left me quite tired. It was a big class today, at least 20 people, which made it hot, but the room was full of lots of great energy

The other day my teacher mentioned how we not only should switch our grip in poses [which is always do now, first set left thumb in front, second set right thumb in front], but that we should switch the direction we turn in and out of floor postures. I hadn't even considered this, but it completely makes sense. I began doing that this week, and I have noticed that I don't remember which side was my dominant side anymore.

Well, I will be gone for a week {a week without Bikram, ah!}, and then I immediately go back to work. So, I'm not sure how often I will be on here, but I do plan to continue posting.

This has been quite a journey, a journey that will not end here. I have learned a lot about myself, and have begun to treat my body and mind with the respect and consideration they deserve. I feel healthy, and more in tune with myself. With that said, happy Saturday

Congratulations Lisa!! That is a fantastic accomplishment... something to be very proud of. I also try to switch my grip and sides of the mat... when I remember to do so. It feels really weird using the reverse grip but it does help balance you out. Enjoy your rest and don't be a stranger!! Peace.
