Since my last post on Tuesday, I have gone to 3 more Bikram classes. I managed to do a double on Tuesday, and went again in the evening with my mom. Class went great, 200% better than the morning class. I had energy, I {finally} didn’t experience the awful lightheadedness, and I was much more flexible. During standing head to knee, I almost got my leg parallel on my left side, and it was so close to being locked. This is huge for me, as my hamstrings are always so tight. My teacher noticed right away, as he is always telling me to kick my leg out more to straighten it [believe me, I’m kicking!]. He said “Lisa, you are so close;” I appreciated that he noticed. I was also able to put both hands up during tree pose on one side. It’s nice feeling so limber, usually I don’t feel nearly that limber, even at the end of class. I also went to class last night, and I swore that it was hotter than normal, just to find out after class that it was at exactly 105 degrees. This morning made class 76, 41 classes in 41 days. I won’t be able to go to yoga tomorrow or Saturday, as I’m headed out of town for the weekend with my parents. We may be get back in time on Sunday to get to the 5 o’clock class [fingers crossed].
From my calculations, if I want to extend my 30-day challenge to a 60-day challenge, then I have 5 or 6 doubles ahead of me before another vacation July 24th. So, if I can get myself motivated enough, I’m going to try and get ahead of it while I can and go again tonight. My yoga towels are drying as we speak [so much laundry].
For now, I’m going to enjoy my Kombucha, and relax…
