Well, we left for Berkeley yesterday in the last morning. I managed to get myself to yoga in the morning {it was my 50th class ever!} There were only 4 of us practicing, so our teacher ended up putting the Bikram CD on, and he practiced with us. It was interesting listening to Bikram himself [on CD]. I was a bit thrown off by the things he didn’t say that I was used to hearing, little things, and just his overall tempo. But, it was a good change of pace.
So I raced home, showered and we left. We got to Berkeley in time to rest up before the Florence & the Machine concert. We walked to the theater, and managed to get a great seat, right in the center. Florence was AMAZING! I was just completely enthralled, watching her dance and sing. I got a few good videos/pictures of her. It was a gorgeous night, which made the 45 minute walk to the motel not as long. We left this morning, after taking a quick trip to Amoeba to check out cheap [$2-$5] CDs/DVDs.
To my surprise, we got back home around 2:30pm; which was perfect timing to go to the 5:30pm yoga class. It’s funny, I was completely anticipating having to miss yesterday and today, but instead I did both, and missed Saturday when I was home. I’ve been going so much that I now have the unlimited year deal at our studio.
Today was class 51 of my practice, class 16 in 17 days.
There were quite a few people in class tonight [my dad was there too], and there were 3 new people. Before class started I was sweating, and by the time we were bending forward during half-moon, I had a ridiculous amount of sweat dripping, mainly into my eyes. I guess it was pretty hot tonight, because I honestly sweated more than I ever have before. I noticed a lot of people taking breaks, and the new people suffering. But, we all survived, and I actually was able to do toe-stand on my right leg with both hands up for a short bit.
Yoga again tomorrow, and luckily, I only have one double to do.
